Self-Realization Program Conducted at NACIN

Sahaja Yoga Meditation for Inner Balance, Excellence and Nation-Building

On 11 August 2026, a team of dedicated Sahaja Yogis conducted a Self-Realization and Sahaja Yoga Meditation program at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics (NACIN).

The session introduced participants to the experience of Self-Realization through Kundalini awakening and the practice of Sahaja Yoga meditation—a simple method aimed at developing inner silence, balance, self-awareness and a more peaceful state of mind.

What makes this initiative particularly meaningful is how naturally the principles of Sahaja Yoga complement NACIN’s own vision of holistic human development.

A Vision Beyond Academic Excellence

NACIN’s vision is:

“To create an institution of excellence where people can achieve full potential in their academic, creative, personal, physical, moral and spiritual development.”

True excellence is multidimensional. Professional knowledge and technical competence are essential, but an individual entrusted with public responsibility also benefits from emotional balance, clarity of thought, integrity, self-discipline and inner stability.

Sahaja Yoga approaches development from within. Through regular meditation, practitioners seek to experience a state of thoughtless awareness, in which the mind becomes quieter while awareness remains alert. Such inner equilibrium can complement the qualities required of professionals working in demanding and responsible positions.

Human Resource Development Begins with the Human Being

NACIN’s mission emphasizes:

“Progress through Excellence”

and seeks to meet the highest requirements of the Department through Human Resource Development, ultimately contributing towards strengthening the Nation.

This carries a profound message: institutions become stronger when the individuals within them become stronger.

A person who develops greater self-awareness, balance and inner discipline can be better equipped to deal with pressure, responsibility, decision-making and interpersonal challenges. In this sense, meditation can become more than a relaxation exercise—it can serve as a tool for personal development and introspection.

From Inner Transformation to Nation-Building

NACIN serves as an important centre of professional training, including for personnel connected with West Bengal, Sikkim and the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Its commitment to high-quality infrastructure, continuous improvement and professional excellence creates an environment where learning extends beyond textbooks and classrooms.

The Self-Realization program added another dimension to that journey—the exploration of the inner human potential.

Sahaja Yoga teaches that meaningful transformation begins within the individual:

Balanced Individuals → Responsible Professionals → Strong Institutions → A Stronger Nation

When professional excellence is accompanied by inner peace, moral strength, clarity and a sense of responsibility towards society, human-resource development acquires a deeper meaning.

We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to introduce Sahaja Yoga Self-Realization and meditation at NACIN and hope that this experience will support participants in discovering greater balance and awareness within themselves.

Because ultimately, nation-building does not begin only with stronger systems and institutions—it begins with balanced, awakened and responsible human beings.
